another beginning
ok....so i'm starting this 'blogging' thing... yet again....ahahahha...this will be interesting.
last time i left a blog was on july 31st, 2003.
A significant time for me. I was in London, Ontario doing a job placement, when during the long weekend I ended up in the hospital after a car crash.
Thankfully, I was okay. Everything was ok. But to sum it up, it made me think a lot - may be more than usual.
Carpe Diem - that became my motto - and still is.
Carpe Diem - live life to the fullest .... and NO i didnt' go to Earl Haig.
Live life to the fullest - what does that mean to me?
It means for me to be a Child of God. To rest in Him, and who He is. And I wish I could explain this without the 'Christianese.' I'll try.
The God of All Comfort
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.
This is what I believe. And it's made me reevaluate, yet again, what is important in my life.
My God, my family, my friends...these are the foundations of my life. They are the purpose in which I live everyday - that I may be a light of JC to my family and to my friends. In times of joy and in times of pain, that my strength comes from the Lord; and that is all I have needed, and will ever need.
So...July 31, 2004. So begins a new 'blog.' I'm looking forward to tomorrow.
Let's see what happens next.
